JIFFINA 7th Must Be Able to Encourage Economic Recovery

Jogja - One of the international exhibitions that is regularly held in Bantul Regency will be held again on March 11-14 2023. The exhibition in question is the seventh edition of the Jogja International Furniture and Craft Fair (JIFFINA). The exhibition, which is expected to bring in 5,000 potential buyers or global buyers, is expected to be able to boost economic recovery in Bantul Regency.

"Some time ago, all regional leaders in Indonesia were given instructions by the President to make big changes considering that the challenges in 2023 are also getting bigger. Especially in the economic field, yes. It is believed that our economy has not recovered to the level it was before the pandemic. So the hope is that the existence of JIFFINA can encourage our economic recovery, "said the Regent of Bantul, Abdul Halim Mulih when giving a speech at the launching of JIFFINA at the Jogja Expo Center, Tuesday (24/1/2023).

The JIFFINA event featuring original Indonesian products is also a new hope for maximizing the absorption of domestically made products. Apart from contributing to economic growth, the purchase of these local products will also make Indonesian original products increasingly known abroad. Moreover, most of the products ordered and purchased at JIFFINA are exported globally.

In this regard, the Director of JIFFINA, Yuli Sugianto, is optimistic that the implementation of JIFFINA this time will be as successful as previous years. He believes that all exhibitors have prepared the best products that combine the expertise of Indonesian artisans, quality materials, to sophisticated designs.

"Until today, the occupancy of exhibitors has reached 62%. There's still time until next March. The hope is that everything will run smoothly and get good results, “concluded Yuli.
