Jepara International Furniture Buyer Weeks 2023 Held on March
Jepara - Jepara Regent, Edy Supriyanta officially have launched an International Scale Furniture Exhibition with titled Jepara International Furniture Buyer Weeks (JIF-BW) 2023. The launch was held at Thursday, (16/2/2023) evening at the R.A Kartini Jepara Hall.
This JIF-BW was a result response to President Joko Widodo's direction some time ago, "Through this JIF-BW event it is to strengthen Jepara's city branding as Jepara the City of Carving," said Edy Supriyanta.
Present were the Chairman of the Jepara DPRD Haizul Maarif, Deputy Head of Jepara Police Kompol Berry, Regional Secretary of Jepara Edy Sujatmiko, Head of the Industry and Trade Service Eriza Rudy Yulianto, Head of the Investment and One-Stop Services Office Hery Yuliyanto and Head of the Communication and Information Service Arif Darmawan.
Therefore, Edy, Jepara Regent, hopes that this exhibition can strengthen the furniture and carving industry and help market furniture and wood craft products in Jepara. "Until 2022, the export value of wood furniture commodities has reached US$192.9 million. Up from US$188.3 million in 2020 and US$183.6 million in 2021," he said
Jepara HIMKI Chairman, Antonius Suhandoyo said, Jepara International Furniture Buyer Weeks (JIF-BW) 2023 will be held March 5-19 2023. The participants are furniture manufacturers, manufacturers, craftsmen, who exhibit their products in their respective workshops.
“This exhibition provides the widest opportunity for entrepreneurs to participate. Because this exhibition was held in our own place, “he said.
To bring in buyers, the committee already has a list of buyers who will be invited to Jepara. Two weeks is enough time for them to come.
"We will complete our website to go to each venue. Sculpture centers, cupboards, we will give buyers free space," he said.
The Jamhari Activities Coordinator added that the committee would organize or redecorate the showrum, factories, workshops in their respective industrial clusters. "When buyers come, we are hard ready to present the product as best as possible. So that buyers have confidence to transact with us," he said.
