Furniture Factory, PT. Cambium Furni Industri was fire

Jepara - A great fire broke out in a furniture factory called PT. Cambium Furni Industri, since Tuesday evening (10/11/2020). This fire resulted in ten furniture containers ready to be shipped out in flames. Losses were estimated at tens of billions of rupiah.


The head of the Jepara District Fire Service (Damkar), Surono, revealed that the fire occurred at around 17.45 WIB. The fire occurred while the employees were working overtime at the back of the furniture warehouse located at RT 02 / RW 01 Wonorejo Village, Jepara District.

Surono stated that the fire lasted for nearly seven hours. It took nine firefighters to tame the Red Rooster. "The team managed to put out the fire at around 23.30 WIB. Luckily there were no casualties, ”explained Surono.

Even so, the fire caused huge losses to Soegiarto, the furniture factory director. Based on the warehouse owner's calculations, the loss was estimated at approximately Rp. 15 billion. The details are Rp 10 billion for ready-to-ship furniture losses and Rp 5 billion for building losses.

Regarding the cause of the fire, Surono stated that he was still waiting for the results of the investigation. However, the fierceness of the Red Rooster is thought to have come from an electrical short circuit.

"For the cause, we are still waiting for the results of the investigation. The provisional suspicion is due to an electrical short circuit, ”explained Surono.
